Where Bush Meets Sea

I have a Masters in Art and Design and extensive research in colour, creates works depicting the Otway region along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Living part-time near Cathedral Rock for over 60 years, I capture the rhythm and spirit of the landscape through abstraction and reduction. My bold, colour-rich compositions emphases the interplay of shape, tone, and texture, seeking harmony rather than direct representation.

Over many years I have drawn and painted my natural bush and sea environment from my property on the Great Ocean Road near Lorne.
Most of these paintings were created at my property during the Covid Pandemic lockdown.

Quadrant Gallery Exhibition. 'Beyond Knowing' paintings inspired by my experiences around the Great Ocean Road and Otway Forest. I physically engage with the enviornment around me, making liberal use of colour to convey human states and celebrate passeges of time.
